Ingredients in Healthy Chocolate Halloween Donuts

I am all about simplicity and ease, so don’t worry, you won’t need to go to the supermarket and buy a lot of expensive baking ingredients. You probably have most of these ingredients in your pantry already!

You’ll only need a few, simple ingredients to get this easy recipe going! Eight ingredients to be exact. Here is a list of exactly what you’ll need to make the fluffiest healthy paleo cinnamon banana donuts:

Tools Used to Make Healthy Chocolate Halloween Donuts

This easy recipe for healthy Halloween chocolate donuts not only has very simple, clean ingredients, but it also only calls for a few kitchen tools making clean up easy! You’ll need five different items, in addition to your measuring cups.

  • Donut Mold – I love my silicone reusable donut mold!
  • Parchment paper, baking spray, or oil
  • One Large Mixing Bowl
  • Fork
  • Spatula

How to Make Healthy Chocolate Halloween Donuts

These healthy Halloween chocolate donuts are super easy to make and decorate as little mummies. You seriously do not need to be a professional baker or cook by any means. It’s so easy that you could most likely do it with your eyes closed. I promise. Here, I’ll walk you through the steps.

First, preheat your oven to 350F.

Then, grease a donut mold with avocado spray or baking spray. If you have an older mold, I recommend cutting out a little circle from parchment paper so the top of the donut does not stick.

Next, in a large bowl, whisk the eggs with a fork.

Once whisked, add in Kefir, vanilla extract, and maple syrup. Mix until fully combined.

Next, fold in the dry ingredients with a spatula. Add the almond flour, cacao powder, and baking powder to the large bowl until fully combined.

Evenly divide and spoon the batter into the greased donut mold. I made 5 donuts!

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely before decorating – should be about 20 minutes.

While the donuts are cooling, place white chocolate chips and coconut oil into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 45 seconds. Stir. Microwave again for 20 seconds. Stir. Continue this process until your chocolate is completely melted. You do not want to burn the chocolate.

Now, using a fork or piping bag, drizzle white chocolate across donuts. Add two regular chocolate chips to each donut for the eyes and add a dot of white chocolate on each.

How to Store Healthy Chocolate Donuts

One of the best things about this delicious healthy Halloween chocolate donut recipe is that you can bake them on the weekend and they will last you all week!

For best results, store in a covered airtight container in at room temperate for 4 – 6 days or in the fridge from 5 – 7 days.

I like eating my donuts both warm and at room temperature! Depending on what you like, you can either heat up in the microwave for 20 seconds or enjoy straight from storage.

  • 4 Tbsp plain whole milk Kefir
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 2 Tbsp 100% cacao powder
