Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey, 93% lean
  • 1 egg
  • cup Italian breadcrumbs or panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp grated parmesan

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 360°F and lightly grease the basket with cooking spray or use parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients. Gently mix with your hands to fully combine but do not overwork or the meatballs will be tough.
  • Using a scooper or your hands, create 16 – 20 meatballs and place them on a plate.
  • Once the air fryer is heated, evenly space the meatballs to the basket. Make sure they are spaced out and NOT overlapping. If your air fryer basket is too small, do this in two batches.
  • Air fry for 8 - 10 minutes or until fully cooked (165°F internal temperature).
  • Serve with your favorite marinara, red sauce, or pesto on a bed of pasta. Enjoy!

Notes

Garlic Powder: Can substitute with 2 - 3 minced garlic cloves.
Breadcrumbs: I recommend Italian breadcrumbs. If you use regular bread crumbs, add 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning.
Storing: Place leftovers into one large or individual airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for 4 – 5 days.
Freezing: For best results, freeze turkey meatballs without sauce. Let them cool to room temperature, then add them to a freezer-safe bag and freeze for up to 3 months.
Reheating: Reheat for 30 – 90 seconds until warm. You can also reheat by adding to a large pot with red sauce on the stovetop on low.
