These juicy cilantro lime chicken burgers are healthy, super nutritious, and jammed packed with flavor. These ground chicken burgers are the perfect weeknight meal with options to grill or cook on the stovetop.
In a large mixing bowl, add ground chicken. Then using a box grated shred the yellow onion on top of the chicken.
Add in cilantro, lime juice, lime zest, garlic powder, red chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
Gently mix with hands and form 5 equal-sized patties
Stovetop: Heat a non-stick skillet to medium with 2 Tablespoons of olive oil. Add burgers to the heated skillet and cook for 6 – 7 minutes on the first side. Flip. Cook 6 – 7 minutes on the second side. Or until the internal temperature reached 165°F.
Grilling: Clean the grill and heat to medium-high, between 375 to 400°F. Make sure to grease your grill by using spray or dipping paper towels in oil and spreading across the grill. Place chicken burgers on the heated grill, cover with the lid and cook for 5 minutes until grill marks appear. Carefully flip the burgers on the grill for another 5 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Assemble your burgers on a buttery toasted bun and top with guacamole, tomato, lettuce, red onion, or toppings of your choice.

Ground Chicken: I used 93% lean ground chicken. You can also use ground turkey if needed.Yellow Onion: Can substitute with white onion.STORING: Let the burgers cool to room temperature after grilling, then add them to an airtight container, and store them in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.REHEATING: Reheat grilled chicken burgers in the oven or toaster oven at 350°F for 5 – 10 minutes until warm.
