Crispy Baked Balsamic Sweet Potato Fries

A healthy and easy sweet potato fries recipe seasoned with balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. These tangy and delicious fries are roasted in the oven and yield perfectly tender and soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. Plus, they are gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan! Calling all balsamic dressing and vinegar lovers because this seasoning is the perfect balance between sweet and salty. A true family favorite.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 - 2 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. 
  • Wash and cut sweet potato wedges / thick fries (you can remove the skin if desired). Dry and add to a large bowl.
  • In the large bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix and evenly coat all sweet potato wedges.
  • Evenly spread sweet potatoes on the lined baking sheet and place into the heated oven. Cook for a total of 35 - 40 minutes. Around the 25 minute mark, flip sweet potatoes over.
  • Pair with your favorite dipping sauce, serve as a side, or add to a large salad! Enjoy :)

Notes

You can easily double (x2) or triple (x3) this recipe. When roasting, make sure the sweet potatoes are spread out on the baking sheet and not on top of each other. You may need to use two baking sheets.
