Healthy Paleo Cinnamon Banana Donuts

Best ever healthy paleo cinnamon banana donuts that are fluffy, gluten-free, and naturally sweetened with maple syrup! Enjoy as a snack, breakfast, or even healthy dessert. Made with simple and nutritious ingredients, this easy recipe only takes 30 minutes and is sure to please!

Ingredients
 

  • 1 egg
  • 1 banana, brown and mashed
  • 1 Tbsp almond butter *
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cup almond flour **
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F and grease donut mold with avocado spray or baking spray. If you have an older mold, I recommend cutting out a little circle from parchment paper so the top of the donut does not stick.
  • Next, in a small bowl, whisk the egg with a fork. Set to the side.
  • In a large bowl, mash the banana with a fork. It should be completely mushy and have NO chunks.
  • Add in the whisked egg, almond butter, vanilla extract, maple syrup. Mix until fully combined. Now fold in almond flour, cinnamon, and baking powder.
  • Evenly divide and spoon the batter into the greased donut mold.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean, and enjoy!

Notes

* You can substitute any nut butter
** You can substitute with gluten-free flour or regular all-purpose flour.
