These garlic butter steak bites are seared golden, coated in a rich garlic butter sauce, and finished with a hot honey drizzle — all in 15 minutes. A simple weeknight dinner with ~25g of protein per serving that never gets old.
1lbsteak, (ribeye, strip, or sirloin), cut into 1-inch chunks
2teaspoonavocado oil
½teaspoonkosher salt + pinch of black pepper
1.5tablespoonbutter
1large garlic clove, minced
Fresh herbs, chives or parsley, for garnish
Drizzle of hot honey
Instructions
Preheat your pan. Heat a large skillet (I love cast iron) over high heat. While it heats, toss the steak pieces with salt and pepper.
Sear the steak. Add avocado oil to the hot pan and swirl to coat. Add the steak bites in a single layer. Let them sear undisturbed so you get a nice crust.
Flip + finish cooking. Flip after about 2–3 minutes. They cook fast! Pull at 130–135°F for medium-rare — use an instant-read thermometer for best results.
Remove and make the garlic butter. Transfer steak bites to a plate. Take the pan off the heat, then add butter and garlic. Toss quickly so the garlic doesn’t burn.
Let the garlic cook gently. If needed, place the pan back on low heat just until the butter melts and garlic is lightly golden (about 30–60 seconds).
Toss everything together. Add the steak (and juices) back into the pan with fresh herbs. Toss until everything is coated in that garlic butter.
Serve immediately. Best served hot — juicy, buttery, and so good. Drizzle with hot honey and some fresh herbs for the best taste!
