This strawberry lemonade vodka is an easy, refreshing cocktail made with fresh strawberries, lemon juice, and vodka for the perfect sweet-tart flavor. It comes together in under 5 minutes and is perfect for a single drink or a pitcher.
1cupgranulared sugar, option to add ¼ - ½ more if you like sweeter lemonades
8oz(1 cup) vodka or Deep Eddy’s lemonade vodka
3cupscold water, or sparkling water if desired
2 - 3cupsice
Strawberry slices and lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
Muddle the strawberries: At the bottom of a pitcher or in a medium-sized mixing bowl, muddle (smash) the fresh strawberries.
Make the lemonade: Add the lemon juice, sugar, and cold water. Stir until combined. If needed, you can use 4 - 5 cups of lemonade instead of the lemon juice, sugar, and water.
Add the vodka: Add the vodka and stir again until combined. Then add ice. Taste and adjust sugar, lemon, or water measurements to your liking.
Serve: Serve in mason jars garnished with fresh strawberries and lemon slices. Add extra ice if needed.
Notes
Use ripe strawberries: This is the biggest flavor factor. If your strawberries aren’t sweet, the drink will taste more tart—so taste one first.Adjust sweetness to your taste: Start with less sugar, then add more after mixing. The strawberries already add natural sweetness.Use fresh lemon juice: It makes a big difference. Bottled works if needed, but fresh gives a brighter, cleaner flavor.Chill before adding ice (for pitchers): If making ahead, refrigerate first and add ice right before serving so it doesn’t get watered down.Make it sparkling: Swap the water for sparkling water or club soda for a lighter, bubbly version.Use vodka you like: Since this is a simple cocktail, you’ll taste it. Plain keeps it clean, but lemon or lemonade vodka is great too.Single-serve option: Use 2–3 strawberries, juice of 1 lemon, 2–3 teaspoon sugar, ¾ cup water (or lemonade), and 1–1.5 oz vodka.Store-bought shortcut: You can use 4–5 cups of lemonade instead of lemon juice, sugar, and water to save time.
